Super Spirit Week 2014

Spirit Week is quickly approaching here at SJV and the theme this year is superheroes. Seniors are the silent guardian, Batman. Juniors are the Amazing Spiderman. Sophomores are showing their patriotic side with Captain America leading them to Homecoming. And don’t get the freshman mad because they might go Hulk on you.

With these themes, each class has to make a float to be shown at halftime during the Homecoming game. If you are interested in helping build the float, talk to your class officers about signups.

So you can start planning your outfits, here the themes for each day of Spirit Week.

Get your sweatpants out for Monday because that’s Comfy Cozy day. Tuesday is Twin Day so find your closest friend and purposely wear the same outfit. Wednesday is American Day so be ready to chant “U.S.A” all day long. Next we have Tie Dye Thursday to bring some chill vibes to the halls. And Friday just happens to be Halloween, so seniors can wear their costumes, juniors wear black, sophomores wear white, and freshman wear gold or white.

Also something to note, the Homecoming dance is on Oct. 30 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. and the theme is masquerade. The Homecoming game is on Halloween starting at 7 p.m. against Monmouth Regional.  Be ready to show your school spirit at the game and bring the football team to victory!
