The Stolen Celebrate the Release of “Adults”

Local pop-punk act The Stolen celebrated the release of their new EP “Adults” on Monday, December 30 at Brighton Bar in Long Branch. With them were tour mates On Your Marks and A Will Away joined also by Stereotypical, Cross Town Train, Beneath the Sun, and This is All Now. The Brighton Bar was the band’s sixth stop on their tour.

The show was opened at 6pm by Stereotypical’s acoustic set which the vocalist had said will be their last. The rest of the bands followed with the usual high energy and flare. “It was insane,” said attendee Matthew Sandelman.

After the four hours of assorted yelling, guitar feedback, and jumping around The Stolen’s vocalist Dom Cuce said the Brighton Bar holds a special place in his heart. “This is where we played one of our first shows and the crowd is always awesome here.” For the last song, the band invited their tour mates up onstage to join in a cover of “Sugar We’re Going Down” by Fall Out Boy.

“Adults” debuted on the band’s Bandcamp page December 10. The EP features five songs and introduces elements of electronic synthpop to the bands previous pop-punk sound.
