Mob Wives star and social media icon Angela “Big Ang” Raiola ended her fight with throat cancer, passing on Feb. 18. She was surrounded by her closest family, friends, and her two nieces Jeannie and Sonnie Detore.

“You are our beautiful angel that is bigger than life. I will never encounter another human being as selfless as you. You’re one of a kind,” Jeanne Detore shares.

Raiola’s funeral took place in the Basilica of Regina Pacis Church in Brooklyn, New York. Over 500 of Raiola’s friends and family attended. Her sister, Janine Detore, shared a eulogy about the star’s last moments. She touched on how Raiola admitted to being “at peace with death.”

Although many of Raiola’s friends attended the funeral, Mob Wives stars Brittany Fogarty and Karen Gravano were asked not to attend. It is said that the two were asked not to come because of their family’s past with the Mob. Since both of the stars’ fathers are known for “ratting” on the mob, it is assumed that their father’s actions would have significantly affected members of Raiola’s family.

Raiola’s death affected many people. Throughout her exciting life, her free spirit touched the hearts of many. “I’m not here for a long time, I’m here for a good time!” Raiola would say. Her motto was to always live everyday like it was your last. Raiola always spoke about how life is short, and she certainly lived her life to the fullest.
