In the Thanksgiving game between the Detroit Lions and Houston Texans, the Texans came out on top in overtime. However, whether the game should have gone into overtime has been a debated topic. Texans running back Justin Forsett had an 81 yard touchdown run in the 3rd quarter; however, he appeared to clearly be down by contact after just around 5 yards. Since it was a scoring play, it is automatically reviewed; however, Lions coach Jim Schwartz threw his challenge flag. Because he did this, he ruined any chance of the play being reviewed. Therefore, the call on the field was upheld as a touch down. The NFL has said they will look into changing this rule.
