President Obama 2016 NCAA Bracket

President Obama 2016 NCAA Bracket

Marcque Ellington, Writer

On March 15, 2016, President Obama made his final NCAA Tournament bracket as president. In his bracket, he chose Kansas, North Carolina, Michigan State, and Texas A&M to reach the Final Four this year. Out of those four teams, he chose Kansas to become the National Champion in late March over popular first-choice North Carolina.

Since Obama took office, his love basketball was always shown. Obama adapted the White House’s tennis court so the court could be used for both sports tennis and basketball. While doing this, Obama hosted many games on the courts and played against many celebrities. Obama played with CBS Sports basketball analyst, Clark Kellogg and the University of Connecticut girls’ basketball team, who were champions in 2009.

Since Obama has been elected, he has only once correctly predicted (say what he predicted) when he chose North Carolina to be the National Champion in 2009. He’s currently 2-7 when deciding the winner of the championship. In 2010 and 2011, he chose Kansas to win, but the Kentucky Wildcats triumphed.

This year, Obama picked his home state of Hawaii, the 13th seed, to defeat the California Golden Bears, who rank fourth this year in their region. Only time will tell how Obama’s bracket rank among other the experts.
