Key Club’s First Service of the Year

Key Clubs First Service of the Year

Julia Aleo, Writer

Once a month, Saint John Vianney’s Key Club do a service project for our community. Sunday, September 21, the club did their first project of the year. They participated in a beach cleanup at Fisherman’s Cove Conservation Area in Manasquan.

The club split up into groups of two or three and walked up and down the beach, picking up trash left by others. The groups worked so efficiently that the project ended up getting out a little early. It was such an amazing sight to see teenagers coming out so early on their Sunday to help clean a beach.

Moderator Mr. Scoles was there bright and early, alongside with President Julia Aleo, Vice President Taylor Kelly, and Treasurer Gerard Gonzales. The team did an excellent job getting the beach cleaned. We thank you, Saint John Vianney Key Club for making beaches a nice place to hang out and relax!

If you’re interested in helping your community, Key Club is having their first meeting Friday, October 3 in the little theater.
