ABC Family’s Most Wonderful Time of the Year
It is that time of year again. Time to get comfy on your couch and watch ABC Family’s 25 Days of Christmas Countdown. This ABC Family tradition has been in place since 1996.
Each year 25 Days of Christmas reveals three original Christmas movies. The inclusion of original films began in 2006 when the countdown was getting more publicity than expected. Some of the popular original films include Santa Baby, Christmas Do-Over, Christmas Caper, Holiday in Handcuffs, Christmas in Wonderland, Santa Baby 2, Christmas Cupid, 12 Dates of Christmas and The Mistle-Tones.
Each year ABC Family gains more attention for their famous countdown. In 2007, they decided to extend the “25 Days of Christmas” into November. November 20th kicks off the pre-countdown before the actual event begins. The pre-countdown includes Disney Pixar Up, Wall-E, Mulan, The Princess and the Frog, Ice Age, Fred Claus, Christmas Beauty, A Boy Named Charlie Brown, and a Harry Potter Marathon.
The first week of November ABC releases the countdown schedule so you do not miss your favorite movie.
Starting December 1, 2013 the countdown begins. This year’s countdown includes the following:
