Annie

Annie

In the spring, Lancer Productions will be presenting Annie, the classic story of the little red-headed orphan who is always looking towards “Tomorrow.” Auditions for the show took place on January 3 and 4, and the cast list is finally up.

Sophomore Mackenzie Minogue is set to play Annie, a young girl adopted by Daddy Warbucks, who is going to be played by Senior Chris Rocca. Senior Brianna Liguori will play Warbucks’ secretary, Grace. Miss Hannigan, the grumpy orphanage owner, is set to be played by Junior Chitvan Saggu. Her scheming brother Rooster and his girlfriend, Lily, who are going to be played by Junior Daniel Acquaviva and Senior Julia Purcell, plot with Hannigan to kidnap Annie in an attempt to retrieve the huge monetary reward Warbucks is offering Annie’s parents.

The cast is rounded out by Annie’s gaggle of orphan friends, set to be played by Junior Kelly Bradley, Senior Isabella Textores, Senior Fe Lorraine Reyes, Sophomore Megan Romanczyk, Sophomore Jenny Lewis, and Senior Jenna Crescibene. Annie’s ensemble is also full of talent, with standout roles, such as Bert Heely the radio announcer, played by Freshman Michael Rosavick, Mrs. Pugh, played by Senior Jenna Frain, and many others. Mrs. Ryan and Ms. Sclazo are going to direct the show, with assistance from student director Brianna Liguori. Seniors Brielle Winters and Julia Purcell and Sophomore Hayley Wojtaszek are the show’s choreographers. With such a strong cast and crew, you won’t want to miss Annie.
