With the leaves changing for the new season, so do the drinks at your favorite
coee shops! Right now, Starbucks’s fall menu includes Pumpkin Spice Lattes, Pecan
Crunch Oatmilk Latte, Iced Pecan Crunch Oatmilk Latte, Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew,
Iced Pumpkin Cream Chai, Apple Crisp Oatmilk Macchiato, and Apple Crisp Oatmilk
Shaken Espresso. These drinks enhance the fall aesthetic and bring to life your favorite
seasonal combinations.
People are buzzing about these new and exciting flavored drinks. We talked to
some people who were on the Starbucks line to hear what they thought about this fall
menu. “I waited all year just to have the Pumpkin Chai from Starbucks, It’s the best
thing I have ever had,” -Maura Jaccodine.
Many other establishments have come out with fall drinks and treats as well!
These menus include all dierent variations of pumpkin or apple items. According to
Starbucks’ financial figures for the quarter, sales during the late summer/early fall
period were somewhat over average, and net revenues were 4% higher than the
company’s quarterly average.
In contrast, on November 1st the winter menu at Starbucks will be released. The
debate on whether the winter or fall menu is the most popular is very close. We asked
a worker at Starbucks what she thought the most popular seasonal beverage was and
she responded “The Pumpkin Spice Latte is the most popular, 100%”. This response
was expected because it’s the current fall favorite right now.
With about two weeks left of the fall menu, people are already eager to have the
winter drinks. I went to another Starbucks and asked the barista what the most
popular seasonal drink was and she said “The Peppermint Mocha is definitely the most
popular, I feel like I’m always making them in the wintertime”. The winter menu is the
overall most anticipated menu with the most favored and popular drink being the
Peppermint Mocha.
It’s up to preference whether the winter or fall menu is the best. Make sure to
get your pumpkin coee while you can because time is ticking before they are gone for
the season!
