Erin Andrews, one of the most successful sports broadcaster in the industry, has bloomed since she graduated from the University of Florida in 2000. Her father, Steven Andrews, was also a TV journalist.

After graduation, Andrews was first employed with Fox Sports Florida as a freelance reporter. A year later, she was a reporter for the Tampa Bay Lightning hockey team. From 2002-2004, she then covered the Atlanta Braves, Thrashers, and Hawks as a studio host and reporter. Besides broadcasting, she was also on the tenth season of Dancing with the Stars and also replaced co-host, Brooke Burke-Charvet. She also was a Good Morning America correspondent in 2010 and covered the Oscars in 2011.

Presently, Andrews is contributor on Fox NFL Sunday and is a field reporter for major sporting events like the World Series, All-Star games, NFL play-offs, Super Bowls, and the Daytona 500. She is also a six time Emmy winner. Although she has the opportunity to broadcast all of these significant games, watchers accuse her of having a lack of knowledge by reading off notes. In 2013, at the American League Championship Game, Andrews misinformed the viewers by stating that the owner of the Anaheim Angels was her late husband, Gene.

On a positive outlook, Andrews has a campaign with Stub Hub called “Girl’s Night Out.” This campaign lets women pick a game of their choice to attend and encourage them to show their love for sports. She also became the spokesperson for the Kraft Foods Huddle to fight hunger campaign, which raised 2.86 million for Feeding America.

Overall, Andrews has had an extraordinary career and is still a strong female force in the sports broadcasting industry. At the age of 36, she is still dominating the field of broadcasting and can only go up from here.
