The Wanted, an English-Irish boy band, are coming back into the spotlight with their new album “Word of Mouth” coming out November 4, 2013. The members of the band are Max George, Tom Parker, Jay McGuiness, Siva Kaneswaran, and Nathan Sykes. Some of the tracks featured on the album are “Chasing the Sun,” “I Found You,” “We Own the Night,” and “Show Me Love (America.)” On the regular album there are 14 tracks, but with the deluxe album, they added 5 more tracks. 10 out of the 19 songs were co-written by the members of the band. This band’s dream started in 2009 and is still growing to this day.

George, Parker, and Sykes auditioned together for Jayne Collins, Kaneswaran and McGuiness came later on and the five signed with Maximum Artist Management and Geffen Records in 2009. On their debut album, the group co-wrote five of the 13 songs on the album and it was released on October 25, 2010. Their next album, “Battleground”, came out November 7, 2011 featuring songs such as “Glad You Came”, “Warzone”, and “Lightning.” All of these songs were high ranked on the UK charts, and the boys wanted to see how they could do in the US. They released “Glad You Came” in the US and it became number three on the Billboard Hot 100. They released their American EP, The Wanted: The EP, in April 2012. The band performed multiple tours and played at New York City’s Beacon Theater, which was broadcasted by Fuse.

The Wanted announced that they would have a reality television show on E! called The Wanted Life. The show was produced by Ryan Seacrest and showcased the boy’s daily life living in Los Angeles to promote their newest songs. The Wanted’s fan base, called The Wanted ‘Fanmily’, can view their idols every Wednesday with #WantedWednesday, where the band video tapes back stage to give fans a chance to see what the boys are working on.

The Wanted have a fun-loving, prankster, and sometimes serious style. Their manager Scooter Braun also manages artists such as Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande, and Cody Simpson. The Wanted have multiple songs that have gone onto the UK Top 40, The Billboard Hot 100, and Canadian Hot 100. Word of Mouth is very highly anticipated by fans and will hopefully deliver what they crave from their favorite boy band.
