This new film in the Star Wars series is expected to sell very well, and it is supposed to be the highest grossing movie of the year according to comicbook.com. On Nov. 27, tickets for the movie went on sale for pre-order, and within minutes, they sold over 200,000 tickets.

Rogue One is predicted to outsell the other Star Wars films that have been released so far. Star Wars: The Force Awakens was the best selling movie by far in 2015 and won many awards. However, Rogue One is already a contender for the best movie of the year, and it isn’t even out yet.

The merchandise for the new film are also selling tremendously as well. In 2015, Star Wars reached 700 million dollars in toy sales. This made the Star Wars series have the number one toys of the year. With the 2015 merchandise sales doing so well, it is expected that the 2016 merchandise will do even better.

Since Star Wars was bought by the Disney Company, the series has seen a huge revival in recent years. After 30 years, the Star Wars series has come back and has made a huge mark on the movie industry, proving how much the fans love the series. Rogue One, in all of its anticipation, has big shoes to fill after how good the turnout was for The Force Awakens. However, this is good for Disney and all movie theaters considering the millions of tickets that have been sold.
