What is makeup, and what is it used for? Makeup is designed to enhance or change an individual’s appearance and looks. This can be used to cover up blemishes and pigmentation and enhance natural features such as the eyebrows, lips, and eyelashes, and it could also be used to contour the face for a slimmer and more structured look. It is known that most women and men worldwide wear makeup and feel a different way when it’s worn. But some other individuals who don’t wear makeup don’t know the effect it has on the beautiful people who wear makeup.
Many women and now men these days, even in the past, have used makeup, but the more time grows, the more people learn about what they could do to enhance or change their facial features. Women have a known stereotype, and that is “if you wear too much makeup, it means you are naturally ‘ugly.'” But in reality, women and selected men want to wear makeup to show their true beauty.
Senior, Ashley Thompson says “I feel my best when I’m wearing makeup, it makes me feel better about myself enhancing my natural beauty. Of course I know I’m beautiful but it’s fun to do different looks and change it up once in a while!”
Senior, Michael Intartaglia stated, “I think people should feel their best no matter what!”
Makeup naturally helps women and men with their thoughts and emotions, making them believe they are more attractive and ‘beautiful.”
Senior, David Hamlin says, “everyone should have their own choice with their body and how they see themselves”
Individuals enhance their natural beauty with cosmetic products to feel better about themselves. They feel like it enhances their natural beauty and makes them feel more put together and more confident throughout the day. So, with that being said, wearing makeup isn’t a bad thing at all; if it makes people feel confident and beautiful, why is that a problem? Yes, people will look slightly different with makeup, but that’s the whole point! Individuals should enjoy wearing makeup without worrying about what others think. The only thing that matters is what the individual feels most comfortable and confident in their skin.
