SJV leaves Other Teams in the Gutter
On Monday December 30, 2013, the girls bowling team took first place in the Red Raider Tournament at Brunswick Zone, Hazlet, NJ.
Each of the girls played key parts in the game to clench the top spot in the tournament. Sophomore, Kristi Gambino had the highest game for the team in the third game with a 168, and a series of 452. Junior, Olivia Cleaves placed second for the highest series for the girls, finishing with a 462 series. Junior, Victoria Chmielowicz finished with a 447. Senior, Nicolette Lupo had a series of 418. Sophomores, Evonne Scott finished with a high game of 149 and Stephanie Brogna had a high game of 136. The team won with a 2192 series.
The girls were not the only lucky ones in the tournament. Senior, Nick Scelfo tied for first in the boys’ high game with a 245. The boys team finished third overall.
