A New Jersey woman claims Disney’s blockbuster movie Frozen is based off of her life story. Isabella Tanikumi, also known by her alias L. Amy Gonzales, reportedly sued the Disney Company for plagiarizing her life story to create their hit movie Frozen for $250 million.

Tanikumi says that the story, plot, and characters are taken from her autobiography, “Living My Truth”. The two stories both take place in the snow covered mountains, both share sisterly love, and the character in the autobiography is torn between loving Christof and Hans, similar to Anna’s love interest between Hans and Kristoff.

Tankikumi also claims that the songwriters took her life story and used it in the songs found in Frozen. Disney states that the writer has a “failure to state a claim”, meaning that Tankikumi has no case because the two stories are not similar enough to call plagiarism and there is no need to prove copyright violation.
