The Stage is set for XLIX

The whole NFL season comes down to this final game and it will take place in Arizona. The Super Bowl is one of the biggest world-wide events, like the summer and winter Olympics. This Super Bowl isn’t just any ordinary one, it’s a chance for the Seattle Seahawks to repeat titles back-to-back. They would become the 8th franchise to accomplish that feat. And for the Patriots it’s a chance to add another ring to the Belichick/Brady era.

Both teams went 12-4 during the regular season, but seemed shaky at the beginning. The Pats started the season 2-2 and after a brutal loss to the Chiefs in week four, many thought New England’s season was going downhill. With Seattle not doing much better, going 3-3 through the first 6 games having back-to-back losses in weeks six and seven to the Cowboys and Rams. After week seven both teams had a combined record of 16-3 not including the postseason.

Both teams have been dominate but questions arise for both of them. For the Seahawks it would be if Richard Sherman will be able to play. Sherman is the team’s leader in interceptions with four on the season. Along with a Defensive line that seems uncontainable, Seattle’s looks like they will be led by their defense again in this super bowl.

The Pats’ question is whether or not Tom Brady and company can find the holes in Seattle’s defense. The Denver Broncos were without a doubt the best offense last year, and they got destroyed by Seattle’s defense. The key was that Seattle studied Peyton Manning’s audible calls and knew when and where to go as they cruised to victory. With a mind like Bill Belichick behind the Pats, this game appears to be mentally and physically tough for both teams.

Only 60 minutes will tell us who will be victorious in Arizona. Could it be a 4th championship for Brady and Belichick? Or can it be two in a row for Seattle. Time will tell as the tension builds until February 1st, 2015 and the 49th Super Bowl title will be fought for.
