Chapter 3 Will Make You Scream

Brendan Squitieri, Writer

Supernatural horror, fright, suspense, terror, monstrosity, tension, panic, thriller. All of these words describe one trilogy: Insidious. The phenomenon began in 2011 with the first chapter, and now, the thriller continues with Chapter 3.

The movie was announced a week after Chapter 2 amazed the box office with $41 million in one weekend. The trailer was officially released last week, and is scheduled to be released May 29, 2015.

Insidious: Chapter 3 was written and directed by Leigh Whannell. The original director of Chapter 1 and 2, James Wan, has stepped down from the horror movie business. Whannell wrote the concept and script for the originals and now is taking full control in the making of Chapter 3.

From what we can tell from the trailer, the film stars Dermot Mulroney, Stefanie Scott, Lin Shaye, Steve Coulter, Leigh Whannell, Angus Sampson, Hayley Kiyoko, Ashton Moio and Ele Keats.

The film will revolve around a similar concept, and is a prequel to the original chapters. The movie tells the story of a teenage girl who is targeted by a treacherous supernatural entity, and psychic, Elise, who uses her ability to try and save the girl. (Elise is a character who played a key role in the previous chapters).

The trailer advertises that this movie is the darkest chapter of the trilogy, leaving fans and movie lovers in high anticipation for the 2015 release.
